The beautiful thing about pesto is that there are SO many variations and you can truly make it your own by tasting it along the way and adding more of the flavours you like as you go to get the perfect taste and texture.

  • 1 part Fresh Basil (1 large package)
  • 3 parts (large handfuls) Spinach, chopped
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil (~3 tbsp)
  • Nutritional Yeast (2-3 Tbsp)
  • Hemp Hearts (2-3 Tbsp)
  • 1/2 Lemon, Juiced (~1 Tbsp)
  • Garlic (1 tsp)
  • Salt (1/4-1/2 tsp)
  • *add 1 Tbsp intervals of water if necessary, to thin to desired consistency.

    I paired this pesto pasta with green peas for some extra fiber and protein (+ the texture is great) and some frozen sautéed kale💚. Feel free to add other veggies or protein if you want - make it your own!
